Can you see a profile without log in?

No but you can read as example our introduce in the presentation topic when we are not log.
So you can always read information about ourselves in that section.

I think the forum should stay public.
If you guys think that it should become private, let me know.
I can still make the presentation forum private.

No paranoia needed either about names I think

I don't want to get paranoid either and I think its great for someone not-registered, to get a look what he/she ist about to enter, what he/she can get out of this site/forum. So it would be nice for an not-registered person to be able to have a look at the forum.

On the other hand I just heard a topic about how employer you apply for more and more search the internet to find out additional information. I tried to keep my scale almost clean. In something like facebook i keep my stuff to the friendslist. The other things are ok for an employer to see. I even put my amazon-whishlist out of public after I found out, that it also shows up on google.
Now this pops up in the search - someon knows right away, that you take pics of lost places, that you 'break rules' to get in. And we all know, how full of prejudice people see this kind of photography... a lot of people can't understand it.

For me it is of course ok for registered people to see my name - cause I know that your the same way crazy as I am

So, how about the names being scrambled, when you are not looged in like M**********n
or something like that?

Maren, I think that would be a good idea. I saw that report yesterday, too. Well, I have a homepage with photos of abandoned places among others, which is found by google due to the credits. But it is still something different when a future employer can read everything you write...
